e-tron aerodynamics

Electric mobility has
grown up

Streamline: Audi e-tron prototype with decisive aerodynamics

The better an electric car’s aerodynamics, the further it travels: With a drag coefficient of 0.28, the Audi e-tron prototype achieves a top result in the SUV segment. This figure is a decisive factor in the everyday range of more than 400 kilometers (248.5 mi) in the WLTP cycle. The virtual exterior mirrors constitute one highlight in the aerodynamics concept of the all-electric premium class model.

Ultra-high voltage: The Audi e-tron prototype in a Faraday cage

The production version of the Audi e-tron prototype is the first car on the market that can charge at charging stations with up to 150 kW. In barely 30 minutes, the electric SUV is then ready to set off on the next long stage of its journey. Its large lithium-ion battery provides for a range of more than 400 kilometers (248.5 mi) in the WLTP driving cycle.

Countdown to Audi Summit and the world premiere of the Audi e-tron

Audi connects the electric car with the house

Audi is taking the idea of electric mobility beyond the automobile in offering its customers a tailormade system offering. To that end, the brand is teaming up with two new partners to connect its electric model Audi e-tron with the user’s home infrastructure. Intelligent interaction with home energy management systems from SMA Solar Technology and the Hager Group enables cost-optimized charging – including using sustainable photovoltaic power if desired.

All-electric combination: Audi e-tron prototype at Wörthersee Meet

The popular GTI Meet at Lake Wörthersee will be held from May 9 to 12. In on the action: the Audi e-tron prototype. As a towing vehicle for the Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, the sporty electric SUV proves its excellent suitability for everyday use.

Breathtaking dynamics

The e-quattro catapults the all-wheel drive into the electric era and enables a strong performance on any terrain.

Audi press conference in Geneva

On March 6 2018 the official Audi Press Conference has taken place at the Geneva Motor Show. Aside from many exciting new Audi models, the e-tron prototype has been presented.

The Audi e-tron prototype in a special camouflage design

This summer, the first fully electric Audi will celebrate its world premiere. Until then, the prototype of the sporty electric SUV will travel his last few test kilometers with a special apparel: the camouflage design of the Audi prototype has become a designer piece itself. The designers tell us why.
